Our branch covers a wide area and I'm sure many changes to our pubs still remain unreported. Maintaining branch pub records is relying on just a few people reporting news of changes to keep our branch online news and pub records up to date.
More reports and pub surveys are needed!!
If you are reading this and know of a change of beer range, opening times, management, closure etc. please report it to the Branch. This information will give the branch a better perspective of what's happening to our pubs and the availability of real ale that can also be made available to a wider audience via the web site, and also in the regular Capital Pub Check section of the London Drinker Magazine.

There has been a planning application: 23/0903/ADV submitted and approved for the Waldegrave Arms, 209 Waldegrave Road, Teddington. TW11 8LX. Pub history: Records suggest that the original building was in existence in 1871. However, the pub was closed in 2006 as part of a total redevelopment of the site for affordable housing but with the retention of licensed premises. The building was mostly demolished, but the lower facade was retained (and upper wall rebuilt) as the pub was regarded as of townscape merit by Richmond Council. The pub has been closed since August 2021. Proposed works will be the replacement of the existing signage (on front and side elevations) with a metal flat cut sign illuminated externally with led lights and the installation of a new internally illuminated projecting sign. Paint finish to entire shopfront. The new signage suggests the pub will be called 'Waldegrave Arms & Siyansh Cocktail Bar' when it reopens. |
